The word "Tahdiha" is emerged from an awadhi word Daah which mean collective mourning or weeping. As per the folk lore, when the citizens of Ayodhya were unable to locate Shri Ram they had gathered on a place and cried. A temple of Shri Sita Ram ji and Laxman ji is here.
