Shri Ram Mandir

The word ‘Ramtek’ means oath. This is said to be the same place where Shri Ram had taken the oath to destroy the demons. The word had another meaning also “to stay,” it means that Shri Ram had stayed at this place for quite some time. Whatever the word means, it proves that Shri Ram had come to this place. Earlier the place was known as Ramgiri.
