Kamad Giri

Kamadgiri is considered to be equivalent to Shri Ram's body by

his devotees. Shri Ram stayed in this region for a very long

period. Even today, thousands of devotees do parikrama (walk

encircling the whole area) of this mount. Some of them cover the

entire distance by crawling on the ground. Several spots

associated with Shri Ram's exile can still be seen in

Chitrakoot-Shri Ram Bharat Milan Temple, Sita Rasoi (kitchen),

Ramghat, Ram Shiya (Ram's bed), Mandakini river etc.
