Tathi Ghat

In Bundelkhandi, the meaning of the word Tathi is 'Thaali or a

plate' which is round. River Mandakini assumes a circular course

at this point and thus this place is called Tathighat. One gets a

chance to meet revered and strange sages in this forest. An old

route from Chitrakoot to Atri Ashram still exists along the banks of

River Mandakini.
