Salona Tal

There is a large pond in Azmatgarh near the banks of old Saryu. It still is filled with lot of water. People call this as Saryu's peta. According to the folk lore, sage Vishwamitra had taken Shri Ram and Laxman through this way. Near the pond, there is a Ram Vatika and many ancient temples of Shri Ram and lord Shiva. This place is located approximately 25 km north east of Azamgarh.
